IE+Wine made easy
I guess many people like me, know about the possibility to run Windows-Software on Linux with Wine. Though it's not always that easy to run some
software with Wine out of the box. I already tried to install Internet-Explorer in the past and never got further than the install process. To eas the installation and make it a working one, there is a nice little project, which provides a script for that purpose. The project is called »IEs 4 Linux« and gives you a script that does all the work for you. You just have to install wine and cabextract on your system and execute the script.
I think that's quite an insteresting aspect for all Webdesigners, or other people who want to check how some sites render in IE, without starting Windows first.
Another project which uses Wine, is also on the way to become stable. I am talking about »Wine-Doors« [older article], which also looks quite promising.
