Teh LOLcat Bible

LOL. What a silly idea is that? Writing a LOLCat Bible! I wonder who did all that work, because quite a lot of pages are »translated« already...

Religion – where logic stops

Always wondered how much people can be brainwashed by religion? Here is a good example how stupid people can become. It already makes me agressive to just watch this. Somehow this people just have gone completely insane...

The dicussion is at least is far from logic. »We need your crime!« (what's wrong with them?!). Maybe since they are Scientology members, it seems kind of odd to them that s.b. can't have a crime. ;-)
Actually really sad, to watch that and seing people which have completely lost their brain...

Banshee on the rise

After IBanshee Logo installed Foresight-Linux on my old Laptop today, to take a look at the new GNOME 2.22, I could also get a glimpse on the new version of Banshee. The New Last.fm-Radio integration looked just great, though it seems not yet to be rock solid, in the 0.13.x release. After happily playing a bit with this feature, I already had discovered some nice new tracks.
Comming back to my normal computer and checking my newreader, I found out that other people are happy with that feature too and that there is already a new alpha release of Banshee. The release (1.0 Alpha 1) just came out today and is bringing even more great features. From the initial article I finally landed on the »official blog entry« and the release notes.
That all looks so great, that I think Banshee will be my default music-player, as soon the stable version of 1.0 is out. They finally implemented the new Artist/Album browser, I always missed too. I also learned today that the search-field in Banshee is much more powerful than I would have guessed.
So, better to stay tuned on the music player issue, Rhythmbox is finally getting some serious competitors... ;-)

Open Letter To Nvidia

Since AMD/ATI has opened towardsNvidia Logo the Opensource-Community by releasing specs and Opensource drivers and Intel has Opensource drivers anyway, Nvidia is the last remaining famous vendor, not sharing any specs for their video-cards. By hoping that that happens soon, someone startet a petition asking Nvidia to open up. It's an open letter you can sign.

I usually don't expect too much from petitions and such things. But that's just a step, towards what will happen anyway. Nvidia can't hold back their specs on the long run. Otherwise their drivers will always lack stability and flexibility on none Windows plattforms. And the alternatives are certainly there...

Public Screen

Most of the big screens in trainstations and so on, are connected via Wireless LAN. So not only public can see the screen, but also can use them for their own purposes. All it needs is a WiFi device and a little knowledge how to access the screen. Like this guy obviously has:

Reclaim the screens. ;-)

Another Last.fm Radio-Client

Today I just stumbled upon a blog entry mentioning another Last.fm Radio-client using GTK+. I already knew last-exit for a while, I even blogged about that one already. Though last-exit didn't become really stable yet, even in the newer version 5. So I just gave Vagalume a shot today. It looks quite alright eventhough it needs more testing to tell about it's stability.
