Today I discovered a useful feature within Inkscape, which I haven't used so far. To provide the information to others, I though it would be a good idea by making a small tutorial.
The feature is pretty easy to use anyway, actually I doesn't need much explanation. I just wanted to show the given possibilities of the pattern-feature. So next time you come across a task, which could easily be done with pattern-filling of an object, you will now how to accomplish that. Have Fun!

Habe mal Inkscape benutzt einen mobilen MP3-Player nach zu zeichnen. Eine Vorlage in Form eines Fotos war natürlich vorhanden. Ein Resultat kann man in meiner Gallery bewundern. Ich muss sagen dass ich mit Inkscape ganz gut klargekommen bin. Ich habe jetzt beim Zeichnen keine Funktion wirklich vermisst. Das Original kann man bei TrekStor sehen.
Achja, wer Ungenauigkeiten findet, darf sie behalten!

Wie kürzlich schon berichtet ist eine neue Version von Inkscape erschienen.
Ein wichtiges neues Feature ist unter anderem der Unschärfe-Effekt, zu english "Blur". Damit lassen sich nette Sachen zaubern, wie nach außen hin verblassende Beleuchtungs-Effekte oder Schatten. Die Beispielgrafik die man hier sieht, ist eben mit diesem Effekt gemacht. Zusätzlich aber auch noch mit halbransparenten Verlaufsflächen
Inkscape wird damit immer mehr zu einer ernst zu nehmenden Konkurrenz für Illustrator & Co.

Three days ago the new Inkscape Version was released. It is really worth a look. Some helpful new features were implemented in the new version.
For those who don`t know Inkscape: it is a free, vektor orientated drawing tool which is quite powerful. So far you still need to compile ther sources on your own, because most distributions won`t have it in der Repository yet. For Windows users there is also an exe file.
